Why We Exist
We design immersive wildlife experiences that are deeply rooted in the places and communities we visit. Without true local partnership, conservation efforts remain fragile at best. Real, lasting solutions must imagine futures where both people and animals are given the space to thrive, but respect the limits on growth and development. We think about how to achieve this delicate balance every time we design a trip or project.
What Drives Us
We venture into the wildest corners of the planet; across borders, outside of comfort zones, and beyond guarantees. These are unpredictable, unscripted places where nature still leads. As the world becomes more curated and sanitized, we keep pushing further, chasing raw encounters and deeper understanding. This is why we have both open expeditions as well as recce trips, where results are even further from guaranteed.
How We Work
We believe personal connection is the seed of conservation. Our trips support documentation, research, and community science, but also spark love. Love for the ocean, for wildness, and for the idea that humans can still belong in nature without only causing destruction. For us, this is an act of care, lived on the front lines of loss and wonder. Inspiration through personal experience and immersion is something we hold near and dear to our hearts.

JAMIE LALLY
CO FOUNDER
Jamie, originally from England but based in Mexico for the past 6+ years, is a passionate nature and adrenaline lover who has been guiding wildlife and ocean expeditions since 2017. Jamie is as comfortable beneath the waves as he is above, bringing a decade of experience guiding ocean expeditions in Baja California, Indonesia, French Polynesia, Dominica, Norway and beyond.
What sets Jamie apart is not just his expertise but his incredible ability to connect with people. His passion for wildlife is contagious, his sense of humor keeps spirits high, and his laid-back personality ensures everyone feels at ease, whether it’s their first or fiftieth time in the water. With Jamie as your guide, every encounter becomes a fun, and unforgettable adventure.
MATT REICHEL
CO FOUNDER
Matt is a Canadian/Mexican documentary photographer and expedition leader/organizer. Passionate about cultural preservation and environmental conservation, he uses storytelling to inspire compassion and connect people to our planet’s heritage. His photojournalism work has taken him from Kandahar to Nuuk and everywhere in between. He has been a whale guide for the past 10 years.
He is the founder of One With Whales in Rurutu, Big Tooth Expeditions in the Caribbean, and Immersiv Expeditions in South Africa. He is extremely passionate about developing small scale, sustainable community based ecotourism ventures that put animals first and balance the needs of local communities. He speaks English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.
ELIAS OUAGHRIB FOSSET
LEAD GUIDE
Elias is a passionate wildlife guide with experience with megafauna across Mexico, Norway, Dominica, and French Polynesia. Since joining the team, he has brought an infectious enthusiasm for wildlife, culture, and adventure, sharing meaningful encounters with travellers from around the world.
What sets Elias apart is his genuine curiosity and joy in observing animals in their natural habitat. Every encounter, no matter how big or small, is something he deeply values and shares with guests. He has an infectiously big heart and takes everyone’s feelings and needs into consideration. Originally from Belgium, and fluent in Dutch, French, German, English, and Spanish, with a touch of Arabic, he connects easily with people from all backgrounds and with Elias as your guide, each experience becomes immersive, engaging, and rooted in a real appreciation for nature.
SARAH TENG
HUMPBACK WHALE GUIDE
Sarah Teng is a New York-based photographer, freediver, and adventure enthusiast with a deep passion for travel and underwater exploration. Since leading multiple Rurutu expeditions with the team from 2024 onward, she has brought a thoughtful and observant approach to guiding, shaped by her experience capturing marine life, landscapes, and quiet moments in nature.
What sets Sarah apart is her ability to translate experience into story. Whether in or out of the water, she helps guests slow down, observe more closely, and connect more deeply with their surroundings. Her calm presence, creative eye, and love for exploration create a space where each encounter feels intentional, personal, and memorable.
SAMANTHA MOSTAFA
SPERM WHALE GUIDE + SPERM WHALE RESEARCHER
Dr. Sam Mostafa is a veterinarian and sperm whale naturalist, and sperm whale researcher in Dominica. She earned her DVM in Dominica in 2026, with clinical rotations in marine mammal pathology, zoo medicine and exotic animal medicine, and spent those student years on the water with Dominica’s resident whales. Her doctoral research measured endoparasite prevalence across that population using non-invasive diagnostics, working out what these whales carry without ever putting a hand on one.
Originally from New Jersey, she now practises small animal medicine in Puerto Rico and returns to Dominica every season, where she runs the hydrophone and in-water guiding. She is the only certified female guide in Dominica and is a true expert at locating sperm whales using the hydrophone; she can tell you with accuracy not only where the sperm whales are located, but also how many animals are in the unit, their behaviour, how deep they are, and what direction they are moving.
CHRIS ADAIR
HUMPBACK WHALE GUIDE + FREEDIVE INSTRUCTORE
Chris is a professional freediver certified as an Instructor Trainer. Chris has facilitated freediving since 2017, as owner-operator of Botton Dwellers. Based on Vancouver Island, Chris grew up playing in and on the waters surrounding southern Vancouver Island and its gulf islands at an early age where the foundation of his love for the ocean and all it holds began.
Chris has worked and supported in a variety of different programs over his career from instructional and safety roles for such programs as Amazing Race. Chris’ passions in the world of freediving lie in underwater photography where he loves to share the beauty of the aquatic world on one breath and responsible freedive-harvesting. Fluent in French having had an early childhood education in the francophone school system, Chris will make the connection in your journey with breath, in and out of the water.
